Fettucine Alfredo with Peas, Mushrooms, & Onions

This was a new meal and recipe for us and it turned out well. I took an alfredo recipe that a friend sent me (thanks Jenni!) and then just mixed it with a box of cooked fettuccine noodles. While the noodles were cooking I sautéed some 6oz of mushrooms and an onion in some olive oil. Once they were almost done I added half a bag of frozen peas to it. Then drained that and mixed it in as well. I am pretty sure that I added more garlic powder and salt that recommended here but I didn't measure so I am not sure, but I still thought it could use a little more so I added some to the sauteeing vegetables as well.

So, here is the alfredo recipe that I used:

1 pint (change servings and units)
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 pint heavy cream
1-2 teaspoon garlic powder (start with 1 and taste)
salt & freshly ground black pepper
2/3 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese or romano cheese
Directions
1In a medium to large saucepan melt the butter over medium heat.
2Add the cream cheese and whisk to smooth and melted.
3Whisk in the heavy cream.
4Season with the garlic powder, salt and pepper.
5Bring to a good simmer and whisk frequently until sauce thickens, around 25 minutes.
6Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
7Taste and adjust seasoning's.

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
